Spent the night last night in Shanghai and after dropping off Suz at the airport I headed back by subway to the train station and then the train back to Hangzhou.
My driver, Jerry, picked me up at the train station and took me to the Wet Market to buy meat and veggies… so much cheaper than the grocery store!
I then got home and started packing boxes for my move home in September. I packed two boxes and will ship them on Thursday… September 20th… leaving for U.S. date 🙂
Breakfast: Buffet at the Courtyard Marriott… I had a 3 egg omelet with onions, peppers and mozzarella cheese.
Lunch on the train: Beef jerky and a handful of almonds
Snack: Yogurt with Splenda and cinnamon
Dinner: Stir fried pork with onions and asparagus. Dipped that in Tamari (which is soy sauce without wheat in it) and wasabi… Oh My Was That Good!
Now I’m off for a 5 km run and then bed. I hope you all enjoy your Monday!
Ciao!
Yipee for packing it up Sandi. I know you are looking forward to being stateside. Can’t wait to hear about the new adventures you have in store 🙂

New adventures, like trying to figure out how to cook in an Airstream… Lol!
If anyone can do it you can. I recommend small convention ovens. Works as toaster, oven broiler, broiler. Great one burners available. I watch series of French cooking in a tiny kitchen and learned how spoiled I have been.
I finally learned to use the gas stove in my flat, so I have that and Kira left me the “oven” when she left. Slightly bigger than a toaster oven, I’m able to shove, literally, a smallish turkey in there!
Wish I was there to help. Sept. 25 is not to far in the future now. Counting the days, ❤ Mom
Soon, soon, Mom!
I’m coming for dinner!!! That looks yummy!!
I’ll have to whip up some good high protein food when we’re at our tri next year in Wisconsin! 🙂
I really enjoy reading your interesting & varied blog 🙂 from babies to running to cultural experiences to family to food …..love it!
I started reading it when I stumbled upon it looking for Dukan recipes online. I think your experiences on it & what I read you eat that day helps me too –
I just thought I’d let you know 🙂
Thank you
Kate
Hi Kate… Thanks for stopping in and letting me know! Welcome 🙂
Love the new Photo. I always like your first photo because of the message I read from it. ” I am a determined woman who is going places. I will get the job done.” This photo message is wonderful also. “Yes I am on the top of the world. I did it. I like it.”
Thanks, Kath… The last picture was from January… This new one is from June. I feel on top of the world when I hike that mountain and can see West Lake down below 🙂
You look like you feel like being on top the the world. No I meant the very first photo. Starting the path toward health.
