Dukan – Consolidation Day 93

I can’t believe how long I’ve already been in Consolidation! Day 93 of 500. Nearly a fifth of the way to Stabilization!

Today’s weight: 148 lb/67.1 kg
Goal weight: 155 lb/70.5 kg

I’m working in Guangzhou for 2 weeks and have the pleasure of having my friend Aisha who lives in Saudi Arabia here as a student midwife. It is so exciting! Yesterday we worked on blood drawing and placing IVs (I volunteered to let her practice on me, as did her husband) and today physical exams and other fun stuff. She’s also working with one of our doctors here.

I ran 5k the night before I came to Guangzhou and I’ve been speed walking 5k an evening here. Hoping to run in the morning. I’ve been having some insomnia this week, for some reason 😦

I’ve also been doing a 10 minute morning yoga routine with YOGAmazing on my iPad every morning and a 25-45 minute routine of my own nearly every evening.

And lastly… I just want to say that I think it’s awesome that food like this is on my diet. No magic pills, no artificial hormones and starvation, just damn good food 🙂

Breakfast: Bacon, red onions, garlic, shaved, organic Parmesan, green apple slices

Breakfast: Pork belly chunks, red onion, cilantro, curry, fried egg with mozzarella

Dinner: Beef steak chunks, red onions, red cabbage salad with cucumbers

Yum, yum, yum!

Ciao 😀

  1. OK I am hungry now 🙂 What I love best about your enthusiasm for your success is the fact that yes it is based on REAL foods – no artificial chemical sh*tstorm! You go, girl 🙂

    • I love eating! That’s how I got to 255! Now I eat, a lot, but all good stuff 🙂
The bacon I get here (and pictured above) is not cured, fresh off the hog this morning, pork… Mmmmmmm! Usually purchased at a street market. I’m going to miss the ‘wet’ markets when I move home next month.

      • yum! Funny you say that, I was thinking of you yesterday and wondered the same thing … what do you anticipate the “adjustment’ will be when you move Stateside? Lack of resources? Peer pressure to succumb? Hugs! MJ

      • Well even though I’ve moaned about only having a wok and a stove top to cook on, I think it’s been a HUGE advantage. That said, I plan on living in the Airstream, so I’ll still have restricted space.

Having to shop in the grocery store will be a challenge, but when I’m home on holiday I stick to the outside rows of the store and NEVER venture down the rows… Ever! LOL

Many of my friends are on Dukan. I’ll hang out with them. I have extraordinary willpower, so succumbing is not an option. I quit smoking 7 years ago and just as I know, for a fact, that I’ll never smoke again, I’m absolutely certain I will never, ever be fat again. Peers who don’t support you, aren’t your friends 🙂

      • I love this: “I have extraordinary willpower.”

No duh! Just think .. the wok is training for airstream livin’! 🙂 Bests to you Sandi girl

      • I’m actually working on a post about affirmations… That one is not on this weeks list, but it is one of my mantras 🙂 if you say something enough, you believe it! Thanks so much for your support, MJ xoxo

    • I downloaded the app to my iPhone. I alternate between C25K and the B210K programs, depending on my goals that day. I insistently use the RunKeeper app to track my miles/kms each walk and run. And I’ve started using that to build custom runs (which still makes me giggle, given last year this time I only ‘ran’ to KFC!). I’m working on building endurance, so I set RK to 4 minute run/1 minute walk intervals… It kicks my butt! I get less worn out running 25 straight minutes!

The podcasts I listen to are WalkBlogRun (http://player.fm/series/walkblogrun)
      And Tri Talk Triathlon (http://www.tri-talk.com/)
