“It doesn’t matter if you’ve failed or if you’ve been beaten. All that matters is that you learn something, get back up, and try again. Because winning is a good feeling, but winning when nobody else thought you could is an awesome feeling.” ~ Marc and Angel Hack Life
How important is it for us to think this way in all aspects of our lives? Getting back up, brushing ourselves off and starting over is the ONLY way to succeed. I was SO fortunate to have the support from family, friends and fellow bloggers on my continuing journey of better health.
I see so many people that aren’t being encouraged, as well. I see it on Facebook pages when someone mentions that they are losing weight, eating well and exercising, their friends tell them to lie down and have a cookie. What kind of support is that? That is your fat, unhappy friends discouraging you from being better than them. Or your skinny, unhappy friends that like that you are the fat friend, it makes them feel better about themselves.
So, my friends, go out there and WIN today! Stick to that program you are on. Get in at least 30 minutes of some type of moving… even if it’s just walking… and WIN.
WIN for YOU!
Ciao!
So true. Also winning is a process. Some days two steps ahead and one behind. Some days the opposite happens. Giving up means never winning. The secret is to have failures and learn from them so you can win.
Winners never quit, quitters never win 🙂
Remind me to get you some pom poms when you get home!
Will do 🙂
p.s. I’ll run my first triathlon in August next year… I’ll need you to cheer me on… road trip 🙂
“Winners never quit” . . . I like that Sandi! Recently, my former mother-in-law ( who is 94 years old) told my daughter, “Sometimes, you just need to keep dancing!” . . . I like that, too! Great reminders for challenging days on any level.
Best wishes,
Sarah
I like that, too! She sounds like a wise lady 🙂
Yay for this post 🙂 I loved reading this today when i woke up. Feeling really tired after a 4am bedtime as we went to a party for the Olympic Opening and was thinking i would give the treadmill a miss for today (yesterday was my rest day not today :)) but after reading his i will get up and at it. Fingers crossed i can complete the last day of Wk 4 c25k today…just got to keep telling myself it’s mind over matter and try not to still want to punch the man who says ‘Run now’ 🙂
You must be exhausted staying up so late! I saw snippets online and it gave me goosebumps… job well done, London!
You WILL complete the last day of Wk 4 today! Can you imagine that you would be running like you are 4 weeks ago?
Great wise Lady. You really know how to motivate. I too was up late with the Olympics and a little sluggish today. Will get back in the groove as soon as I have my second cup of coffee.
I hope you have a fabulous day watching the Olympics, mom!
Great encouragement!!! Thanks!
I want to share my encouragement with everyone 🙂
You are one of those people that encourage me!
YES! Your words are so true (and sometimes difficult to follow). We must continue to get up and keep pushing through, whether it’s in our diets, exercise regimes, jobs, dreams, and changes and life.
Another inspirational blog post. Thank you, Sandi.
You’re welcome… Now get to the gym! LOL
Oh yes, I need to get to the gym. Have been promising myself every day since returning home.
