I saw this saying today and it really struck a chord! It is so easy to give up and much tougher to see the light at the end of the tunnel and stay on track.
Months ago I would think “Well, I’ve lost 25 pounds, but I still have 65 to go” and think of excuses to not carry on. But I persevered and kept going and today I’m proud to say I’ve lost 67 pounds and ONLY have 23 pounds to go! Don’t make excuses! Don’t give up! You are 1 pound closer to your goal and tomorrow you’ll be even closer!
You are spot on my friend! SPOT on. That is the most common reason for giving up. I have said that for years (not that I listened mind you!).

Great advice! And so true. When I started out I was a bit freaked out with the idea of having to lose 50% of my body weight. Now that I am 85 pounds into that journey, I look back and realize how far I’ve come. What helped my out was to break that journey into smaller goals and look forward to that goal, not the ultimate goal.
Russell! What an awesome accomplishment! This is exactly how I have done it, little goals of 5 pounds by my birthday, 5 more by New Years, etc. Makes it a lot easier AND rewarding when you meet them!
So Proud!!!
Thanks, Mom… and yes, all of your replies have made me happier 😀 Love you!
