Tuesday was a PP day (3 out of 4).
Daily Weight Loss: 1.1 lb/0.5 kg
Total Weight Loss: 51.1 lb/23.21 kg and I’ve lost 20% of the body weight I started with!
Walked to work in the cool crisp air… the leaves are starting to change, so it makes it a pretty walk in the morning.
Breakfast: 2 tea eggs, 500 mL water, coffee w/splenda and skim milk
Lunch: Beef slices w/cilantro and garlic stems with hot chilis… yum! 500 mL water
Afternoon snack: Coke zero
Dinner: Stir fry sirloin with onions and garlic stems, earl grey tea
Then off to do Week 3 Day 2 of Couch to 5K… it’s kicking my ass to be honest! I have begun talking to the lady who tells me to “warm up”, “RUN!!!” and “walk”. I beg her to say walk… while gasping for air. The people in my neighborhood give me LOTS of room as they walk past the “gibbering white lady”… π Last night was particularly tough. It’s cold AND it was raining… that sprinkly kind of rain that isn’t enough to call rain, but still is rain. Like misting or something. The nice thing was that it kept me cool… the hard part was worrying I’d throw out one of my knees in a slip and fall. I find it terrifying to run and more terrifying to run in the RAIN! But dammit… I did it! And there is a sense of accomplishment at the end of the routine… like, “Holy shit, I can’t breathe, but I did it!!!” and “Yay me”… which I sayΒ out loudΒ and make the neighbors stare even more. π I just keep chanting… I’M GOING TO BE FIT AND HEALTHY, IT MAY KILL ME, BUT I’LL BE FIT!!
I hope everyone is having a great week! I am π
Ciao!
Quote of the day: No one is going to tell you to get off your ass and work out. Motivation comes from within. No one wants this more than you do… WORDS TO LIVE BY!
Random pic to show how I feel this week:
Wow – that is commitment out in the cold AND rain! Good on you that is awesome effort and your scales are still dropping – how cool is the Dukan Diet! You are on a roll – so inspirational!!
Dukan Diet… rocks π I’m not sure if it’s commitment or stupidity to run in the rain when you have crappy knees, but I’ll keep doing it! π
Couch to 5k? Bloody hell, you nutter! π
You’re incredible! My boobs and hips are just not up to running – cycling and skating are my sports of choice, with minimal impact. Take it easy – there’s nothing worse than pushing beyond your limits, injuring yourself and then finding that you can’t actually do ANY exercise until you’ve healed!!
However, I’m sure that being a medical professional, you know when you’re about to push something too far… π
Well, I’m not out there doing roller derby… LOL… now THAT is impressive π I’m signing up for the gym across the way from my building tomorrow, that way I can run inside!
I have always been a runner – I have always been a bit “chubby” and running was my method of controlling my weight but as it turns out you can’t run and eat as much as you like…. it is 85% what you eat and exercise is no good if you don’t watch what you eat! I have gone through phases of running heaps on treadmills too – I loved it! So I reckon you will love your gym access! Particularly as it sounds very handy to where you live.
I am new to running. I have had bad knees since I was a kid… pigeon-toed and knock-kneed. I like the adrenaline and I like the feeling of finishing π The gym is literally 10 yards from the front entrance to my building! So can’t make excuses there!
Oh the gym sounds like a great idea. I have heard you talk of it before. Have you been yet??
I will spare you my story of breaking both my ankles and being in a wheelchair for 3 months. No weight bearing, None.
Doing stupid is not worth it. Being good to you is a serious business.
Do be careful in the rain.. The gym sounds like a great idea. Love the picture. You look so happy and deserve to celebrate your success. >3 Mom
