Last week Rose and Jack invited me out for a touristy day. We started out at the zoo, visited the Canton Tower and ended with another amazing dinner at Hunan Home! This post will be about the zoo… In pictures 🙂 Let’s call it Lions and Tigers and Moon Bears, OH MY!!! I was very pleasantly surprised by the happiness and apparent good health of the animals. The other thing I loved was that it was, for the most part, a no boundaries park, where as, besides a hidden moat, you were very close to the animals.
The little girl in front of us made her daddy wear this hat 🙂
I got to feed this tiger. He was rubbing up against the cage trying to get me to get closer… Um, no! This was before the tiger show.
Yes, even the panda is smirking about my sweat stain… Lol
This meerkat came over to chat with me… Too cute!
I hope you enjoyed the tour 🙂
What is your favorite animal park?
Ciao!
Haha ,i live in guangzhou!!And is this place xiangjiang zoo?
Yes… It is… And so much fun! You should go when it cools off some!
Several years ago you took me to the Miami zoo. I remember being up close there, also. But I think I would have enjoyed this one in China even more.
Zoos have really evolved over the past couple of decades! It makes for happier animals 🙂
I loved the tour of the zoo . . .what fun to see a zoo on the other side of the world!!
The zoos I like are the San Diego Zoo and the Philadelphia Zoo.
Sarah… I’ve been to Phiily zoo, not to San Diego… On my bucket list!
My favorite is Singapore Zoo. I have a great photo of one of the carers and one of the chimpanzees. It looks like the chimpanzee is giving the carer advise. 🙂
I bet that’s a wonderful photo! Its wonderful to see the animals and trainers interacting in such positive ways!
Oh my!!! Snuggling animals!!!
The snuggling baby tigers were so sweet 🙂
I love Zoos wish we lived close to one, the National Zoo is nice, and free!! Went to San Diego when I was just out of college…eons ago…
Cindy… I love the Nat’l Zoo. I’ve watched it develop and change over the years. Haven’t been since 2006, might be time for a road trip!
I need to make a bucket list…will get thinking today.
Put Florida on the list! I’m 10 minutes from the beach, 90 minutes from Disney World!
Love that rhino pic 🙂
