Today I went to the cardiologist and my mommy was right, it didn’t hurt!  The doctor used a computer and a wand to look at my heart. I got to see it too! They called the pictures an echocardiograph, it’s just a fancy word for heart pictures.  The doctor told my mommy I have a PDA, at first I was really excited because I LOVE peanut butter and jelly…
Mommy said a PDA is Patent Ductus Arteriosus, that doesn’t sound delicious.  My doctor told my mommy that I was going to have to take medicine every day. She also said that I need surgery.  At first I didn’t know what that meant, but she explained that a very special doctor was going to work on my heart using lots of tools and wires and knives.
WAIT! WHAT? KNIVES?!?!?!
I am really scared, my mommy doesn’t let me…
