Well, I’m sitting at the Guangzhou, China airport waiting on a delayed flight with a migraine, yippee! So I thought, what the heck… Write your blog
Weight, up 200 grams from the other day. Did 2 pure protein days in a row, hoping for the best tomorrow.
Taught classes to moms & dads to be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Also taught staff development classes those 3 days.
Then an early morning train to Hong Kong on Friday morning. Busy day, I specifically went to see Troy the travel guy, to book tickets for my mom to go to North Carolina and me to go home for 2 weeks in June. I got my tickets, didn’t get my mom’s (mom I’ll Skype ya tomorrow!).
I also got some shopping in on Friday and Saturday. I also did the 90 minute KYA Ashtanga yoga class with Miranda at Yoga Mālā. I did a few modified poses due to the inability to bend the left knee more than 90 degrees without pain, but only a few… It was an awesome class.
Saturday morning up at the crack of dawn and lounged in bed. Then went out for a run…. A LONG RUN!
Did you know that 6.54 miles is over 10.5 kms? I ran 75% of this… I ran the first 5.42 kms without stopping, then I speed walked and then I did a 5 minute stretch and meditation and then ran a bit more, then when I got into traffic I just speed walked… Too hard to run on the crowded sidewalks.
According to RunKeeper the elevation I climbed was 2300+ feet!
Here are pics from some of my run… The first 2+ kms were UPHILL on the street…
I even recorded some of it… You can see that here: Sandi street running in Hong Kong
Then I found Bowen Road which is a 4 km path specifically for pedestrians!
And this is what bliss looks like after figuring out you’ve done gone more than 10kms!
I also treated myself to a foot massage both days… I deserve it
So, that’s my update… THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO VOTED FOR CELESTE IN THE LAST COUPLE DAYS AND A HUMONGOUS THANKS TO THOSE BLOGGERS WHO REPOSTED IT. My family thanks you with our WHOLE heart! You can vote daily until May 13. I will be putting a little box on the right side of my blog, once I’m back home and have my lap top
Ciao!

I can see you have been quite busy. The pics. tell the story.
Sorry about your delayed flight- bummer!
Thanks
I actually got a lot accomplished, so it was a good thing… At least they had free wifi!
Your knee must be doing a lot better
Those hills? with the bus zooming by? I think I’d be scared to run there!!
MJ
PS I have a new fitness thing to tell you about. I’ve started doing “T-Tapping” it’s a series of isometric moves designed to tone & tighten (in addition to my walks). WOW can I ever feel it. You can try the workouts – for free – on their site. If you want more, you can get a DVD (which might be hard for you to do there)…. I will be interested to know how I feel in a week but so far I sure feel it. here’s the link http://t-tapp.com/
I’m going to check that out tonight when I get home from work! That is EXACTLY what I need to do… Tone and tighten.
My knee is doing better… in fact, last night I ran without my brace… I forgot to put it on and as I finished my warm up, I figured the heck with it… it did fine
I liked running up on the Bowen Road pass much more!
The adrenalin rush from street running is crazy
Just stumbled across your blog and became so homesick for China! We were expats in China for the past 8 years and have now been back in the US for 7 months. Oh, what I’d give for a footie right now! I bought the Dukan Diet book when I was in HK but never gave it a real shot. I’m guessing that is what you have been doing. My blog is about my dieting experiences this past month. Hmmm, more like dieting disasters. Should I give Dukan a shot?
Hi Maria! So glad that you stopped by my blog
China is lovely, but I miss home… A LOT. Has it’s challenging times working in a Chinese hospital with no other native English speakers.
I am a Dukan die hard… I am a believer, through and through. This is the first time in my adult life that a diet has made SENSE and worked! I can see me living the Dukan life style for the rest of my life without a problem. So in answer to your question… don’t waste your time on any other diet… do Dukan now
Read the entire book… word for word, don’t skip around… and every once in a while, read it again… i’m re-reading the consolidation chapters now, since I’m so close to consolidation (the 3rd Phase)… By reading the book you will “get” why this diet works!
